Dear Blessed Sacrament Parents and Guardians,


I am delighted to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new principal of Blessed Sacrament School! I am thrilled to be joining such a dedicated staff and community that make Blessed Sacrament a great place for students to learn and grow.


Allow me to share a bit about myself. My name is Gabriela Raga Castillo, and I bring with me 13 years of experience in education, with a strong passion for academic excellence, personal growth, and creating a safe and nurturing learning environment.


My educational journey includes a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Reading and a Master of Arts in Educational Administration. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working in various educational roles, including serving on the safety response team, being a team leader, and sponsoring various clubs and sports. Additionally, I was a proud business owner of a teaching store named Imagine Parent-Teacher. Each of these experiences has provided me with valuable insights into the diverse needs of students, parents, and educators.


At Blessed Sacrament School, my goal is to build upon and continue the existing culture of excellence and achievement, and to work collaboratively with our exceptional staff to provide an enriching educational experience for all students. I believe in fostering a positive and inclusive school culture that celebrates student success in all areas, promotes positive citizenship, and values the unique talents of each child, developing the whole child.


I firmly believe that open communication and collaboration are essential to student success, and I encourage parents and guardians to actively engage in their child’s education and participate in the vibrant school community at Blessed Sacrament School. PHILOSOPHY



Blessed Sacrament School provides its students with opportunities for growth in the following aspects of human development. Its focus is on the individual person's spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, cultural, and physical development. It is with great pleasure to inform you that Blessed Sacrament School is committed to teach students to become future servant leaders, faith filled disciples and enriched citizens of our community. It has been a must for those who have wanted educational excellence and a joyous learning experience for their children. Our mission is to help prepare today’s child with their God given talents to become tomorrow’s responsible and successful citizens. With today’s dynamic and rapidly changing society, and accumulation with new knowledge and areas of practice, our teachers are prepared to expand our students’ development of skills, knowledge and abilities with the use of technology in the classroom. Blessed Sacrament School is home to 295 students, grades PK3—8th grade. It is accredited by the Texas Catholic Conference of Bishops Education Department in cooperation with the Texas Education Agency. The school also holds membership in the National Catholic Education Association and with Advance ED, the organization of SACS-CASI, Southern Association of Colleges and School Council on Accreditation and School Improvement. Blessed Sacrament School is the only parochial school in Laredo and is managed using Principal/Pastor administrative model. Students are provided the opportunity to attend Mass weekly and serve as lectors, altar servers and gift bearers. I invite you to visit our school for an individual tour.
